Hello,
I apply to change the visa status from J-1 to F-1 for high school. The noticed date is on May 11, 2005. My visa expires on June 16, 2005. I sent the application to the department in California. But till today (July 29, 2005), they didn't process my case yet. Is my passport out of status yet? Does it affect their decision 'cuz it's too late?
If yes, I think it's not fair. Because if I could send to the Texas department the same day, my case would have been processed already and my passport (i94) would have not been out of status. The processing date in California department is really late, much more than other departments.
