J-1 Program Sponsor Funds

Hello,

I am applying for a J-1 waiver on ground of NoS (No Objection Statement). The Department of State website asks me: Did any of your exchange visitor program(s) include U.S. Government funds, funds from your own government or funds from an international organization?

I look at my J-1 and see:
"Current Program Sponsor [MoMA, where I interned] : $1.00
Personal Funds : $10,000
Total : $10,001"

Now, surely MoMA did not give me a paycheck for $1, I don't even know why that is there . Should I claim on my application that I have received funds "from an international organization"? I guess they don't mean where you intern in this question, but I cannot be sure; the $1.00 keeps bugging me.

Many thanks!

okans, did you get a response to your question? any updates?
i had the same request, how did you prove it, pls get back to me as I have a deadline. thanks!

The MoMa is not an international organization - it's a national museum, no? You were privately funded, so it shouldn't be a problem. You might want to get a letter from your MoMa supervisor saying that the dollar came from private donations and not governmental grants.
