J-1 NORI: MHRD Queries

Here is my situation:

I sent NORI application to MHRD in Dec. 2010. In NORI affidavit, Page 3, No. 2 states (I have not signed any agreement..... OR I took a scholarship........). I left it blank as it was not applicable to me and also thought it is not a question which needs to be answered as YES or NO.

Last week I got letter from MHRD saying that "You are required to give a categorical response viz. either yes or no instead of N.A. or leaving it blank against these cluases. You are also requested to send your reply with forwarding letter and the letter should be duly signed by you.

My question is, Do I need to send MHRD new affidavit? OR just a simple letter clearifying the above points with yes or no.

Anyone has any feedback or same experience? I would appreciate your feedback.

OR I took a scholarship........). I left it blank as it was not applicable to me and also thought it is not a question which needs to be answered as YES or NO.

hi, David

sending a simple letter will take longer,
as you have only 45 days to respond,
and they have big back logs to clear,

instead send the new affidavit , which is advicible in your case
