Hi all,
I was wondering if anybody on a Fulbright scholarship with government funding (for a small amount of money) has been successful in getting a waiver for the 2 year home residency requirement, and am interested in how they proceeded.
Thanks!
I am not familiar with Fulbright scholarship. I am in a different US goverment funding program that sponsers long duration participants (MA/PhD) and short duration participants (3~10months). My visa officer said that the program is more likely to prepare a no-objection-letter for short program participant/small money participant. For example, they made alno-objection-letter for a 3-months program participant.
I'm a Fulbrighter too, and I'm interested to waive the 2 year home stay requirement. Did it work for you? Did you hire lawyer to help with your application? If yes, can I have the lawyer's contact detail? Thanks.
Hi can any one tell me, while sending the notarized NOC's required for J1 wavier to the respective departments in India, do I need to send any cover letter and self addressed envelopes with it for then to send those back to me. Also can anyone help me telling the exact address or the person to be addressed while sending the NOC to the Department of State in West Bengal where I belong.

When I applied for the no objection letter from the Czech Embassy they told me that they can't give it to me if I was on Fullbright since the Department of State does not usually award 2 year waivers for Fullbright. You might need a lawyer, I used Mara Mijal http://www.vanblk.com/attorney_bios/Mijal_Mara.asp
