Two weeks ago contacted Presdient Bush and Ombudsman, tried to contact another senator and just received an email from him two days ago to sign a release form before they could inquire. I was still waiting for that form

Congrats on successful approval. A quick question, if you don't mind: Were you contacting the President and the senator(s) regarding Name Check or something else ? Also, what is the Receipt Date on I-485 ? Aug 2004 ?

MD_Rockville , Yes I know your case and dates are very close (actually similar) I really wish you a approval very fast now.

My FP2 was scheduled for May 8, 2007 but I went early on 2nd May.

Got approval Notice

Today got another email sying Approval notice sent.


Just additional Info:

I did apply for AP renewal and see last LUDs on that on 7/6/07 and 7/7/07. Its possible that has some triggering for approval. Last but not least...it was already time :)

was current when applied

it was current when I applied for 485. then it retrogressed. I also got the same message

I think people who applied till Sep 2005 and had earlier priority dates should see their approval soon. mine was Sep 2005 priority date
 
Anyone has any experience when the I-485 gets approved, do they return the pending AP extension. Its $175 :)

They don't refund any money. It goes to USCIS Charity fund :D . They will take a decision on your AP case to justify the fees and I am almost sure, they will deny the AP. :D
