I contacted congressman about my my Asylum case issure, After than I got mail from Congressman begining of Apirl this year that he contacted INS on behalf me.Even though it has been more than two months, INS is still not responding to us, I am hesitating to mail(tall) Congressman any more about my Assylum issure :(
I am exhausted, there are too much presure to family in my country... Pls. give me advice what to do whether wait or move another country :(

Thanks in advance, I hope you gays give me good advice

2.5 Years Is Really Long.
But Cases Transfered From Asylum Office (i.o) To Immigration Judge Seems In General To Take Forever.
Could Take Less Than 1 Year Sometime More.
You Will Be Better Off, If The I.j Approves Your Case, That Way It Becomes A Case Closed.

The Chain Of Appeal Is Too Long Could Take 14 Years:
It Is A Long Long Way
I.o----i.j----b.i.a---nine Circuits----federal Court.
I Hope You Get Lucky And Be Approved By An I.j

Best Luck

Thanks for THEMEN, IS THERE ANYONE CAN GIVE ADVICE

Hi THEMEN

Thank you,
so you mean it takes long time to appeal...and you think that it is better to move another county.
Before moving other country what should I do with INS?

And also I am planing to meet representative of Congressman about me Asylum issure

Thank you
Diego

Sorry, I Was Off The Computer.
No Diego, Don't Move To Another Country, It Is Not Easy.
Pray That Your Case Will Be Granted By The I.j
Hire A Lawyer And Find Why You Are Not Yet Scheduled For Hearing.
Hopefully With A Good Lawyer Your Case Will Be Heard Very Soon.
And Anyway You Required To Have A Lawyer Before The I.j

I've been living In OH for two years, I planed to moved Taxes or California which are little bit good for win asylum status, but same my friends said "don't move other stats if you move it'll take more longer" they said me, that is why I am still staying here...

Good luck for everyone who said God

I would say 2.5 years is excessively long. I had my master hearing in less then two months after IO denied my case and then the court hearing itself in 3 months after that. Jump right on them! That's not right from their sight to make you wait for so long!
