When I read the latest press release regarding the new regulation on name checks, I felt a sense of humor on it.
The memo mentioned that name checks are invaluable to the national security so that they cannot be expedited. But reality is that most of the 485 applicants are already in the US. If there is a national security or anything, all of our name checks should be expedited to make sure real terrorists can be detected earlier than, god forbid, the disasters caused by them.
Can CIS find other (and better) excuses to continue delay our cases?
