Hi guys,

Finally have updates to report! I'm pretty much done with the mailings and collection of supporting documents for WOM. Being happy with the progress I have made, I took another vacation last week.

Upon coming back I discovered second FP letter in my mailbox - slightly damaged with water after recent heavy rains in the area, but still quite usable!

Not expecting much out of it, since many people report that it might be simply a routine procedure for stalled applications, I marked my calendar.

Guess what? Early Monday morning my phone rang! It was the nicest young lady with DHS, calling from DC! She was informed that I was out of town entire last week! She was concerned if I received second FP letter, and explained that it was nothing to worry about but a routine step! And she assured me that after my letter to Secretary Chertoff my name check was finally cleared last month! And I'm currently in a q for an interview!!

Brilliant Freddie's 'It's a Miracle' song has been playing in my head non-stop for the second day now...

Its very surprising they called you to "check on you". WOW!

I left a greeting in my voice mail with all the details of my absense, for business purposes. It's nice and surprising to see that she followed up at the earliest opportunity though. Project management the way it's supposed to be!
