My parents are visiting me for 6 months, 5 months and 20 days to be precise.

Can I claim them as dependent on my tax return?

I am thinking of applying for their ITIN number. Anybody with similar experience has done this? Please share your experience.

I know this is not the right forum for this kind of question, but I don't know any other place where I can ask this and get a decent reply.
 
Ramesh,

To my knowledge tourists can't be claimed as dependents on tax returns. I doubt if they'll be issued ITIN too.
