Can someone post a list of itmes we should bring to interview?

Beside the items listed on the notification letter (GC, DL, Passports, notification letter), what else are needed?

Someone also mentioned that an officier asked him for new photos during the interview. Is that common?

Take copies of tax returns atleast for 3 years.
They asked me for new photos but they didn't to other person from same DO as me. So its all depends...

Anything and everything you may thing is useful. Better overprepared than under.

Take tax returns, proof of marriage if applying based on USC marriage

Amishah,

I submitted photos per the latest specs (front face instead of side face). Would you suggest I take an extra set anyway? Did they ask you for a new photo because the photo specs when you submitted the appl were the old one?

Rahul,

How about educational certificates, proof of having lived in the US for the last 5 years (lease records), etc? I know you suggest the more the merrier but are these something that one must take.

Polar Bear,

One item you may have noticed in the letter is they asking you to bring originals of anything you submitted with your application. So, do not forget those special documents you may have.

If you have submitted photos as per new specification, you do not need to take extra copies. Mine was the old one with side face.

Thanks. That's the reason I posted my question the first place. I didn't send many copies - only copy of my GC and the check. Thanks for the reminder.

Polar Bear,
Please don't forget the proof of Selctive Service Registration. They ALWAYS ask for it in the interview for citizenship and even match the number on the application with the number you have on your proof. If you are between the age of 18-26 when you applied , make sure to take that proof with you, either an acknoldgement card or a letter from the SSS.
Good luck, by the way, when is your interview? and what DO?

Interesting thing that, the officer who interviewed me didn't even ask if I have registered for SS. He just checked the date I became a resident, which was 31, then he must have figured out that I wasn't required to register.

He didn't ask any other document that are mentioned on my interview letter.

This talk of SS registration makes me nervous. I realised only recently that I can get a letter from the SS admin saying I did not need to register. I am only a few days from the interview. I know I did not need to register (male who was on legal nonimmigrant status past 26). I hoping the interviewer does not give me a hard time. Thanks for your comments.

I am not required to register for Selective Service as I was over 26 the time I received my green card (before that I was on F-1 visa). Do I need to get a letter from SSS indicating I do not need to register? I just find out it will take 4 to 6 weeks even if I reply but my interview is on the 28th this month.
