It is possible to use my NP with my temporary I-551?

after my approval i scheduled an infopass and they gave me an I-94 with the stamp on it ( I-551 temporary resident for 1 year).My problem is that my RTD has expired and i have a valid NP and i wanted to make an emergency trip to a third contry; is it possible to use my NP+the temporary I-551 to travel?
Please any advise will be helpful.
