Hi,
I am a 51 year old male, living in US for about 6 years now. I have had my green card since then, but I recently applied for US citizenship. I passed the English Civics test already, but yet I was put on hold for security check reasons over my date of birth issue. Actually, when I first came to the US in 2006- the immigration visa on my passport got my birth year messed up; instead of 1961(as it appears on my Indian passport), they put it as 1960, which is why all my following documents including my social security card and green card have it as 1960. This always gives me problems when I'm traveling out of country or whenever I go back to visit India. Its really hard to get through USCIS because of their long and tiring calling options. With the help of you guys, I'm trying to find a solution to this problem. Is there anything that can be done to change my birth date on these documents, so they can proceed with my citizenship application? I'd really appreciate any kind of help in this matter. Thank you
