"Resident since" date on GC

Is the "resident since" date on the green card the same date as the date on the approval letter if someone was approved after the interview? Since there is a delay in production, does that delay the issue dates on cards for people that are waiting for them.

Its the same date

You would be resident with approval date. It does not matter when your physical card is delivered.The date on card would be the approval date & that would be counted towards 5 years citizenship period if you plan to appy.

Oh, ok. Thanks. So it doesnt matter exactly when you get the card, the "approval date" should be the same as the "residence since date." Makes sense...
