Is Uscis Mail Forward to new address

Hi everyone,

We have moved to new address in January 2005. We already have filed AR-11 and also called 1800# to update our address on pending applications. we just want to find out

Question:
if USCIS mail us at old address with "Return Service Requested" on the envolope, will this mail be forwarded to our new mailing address? (provided that USPS has our change of address request on file)

we are very much worried about getting our mails lost or send to old address. Any help appreciated.

They will NOT forward the mails to the new address. We also moved recently and USCIS guys confirmed this to me when I called 800 number for address update.

Thanks

Thanks for quick reply. I called post office 800 # they said as long as envolpe

does't say " DO NOT FORWARD" they do forward mail to new address.I am not what to do.

Thanks for everybody

USCIS mail comes back to them if non-deliverable. I moved and left a note in post office asking to forward mail, everything else was forwarded and my approval (I-140) notice was rejected by post office back to USCIS. Then they decided to 'REMAIL' it and then I received it through again same post office (I did NOT change my address with the service center at that time) to my new address, re-delivered by post office according to my request...took some time.

Hi Compass

I have one quetion. When you received your I-140 where did USCIS mail come to at your new address or your old address. And what is non-deliverable mean?

Thanks

'Return service requested' is not forwarded or forwarded by mistake. These mails are always lost. I had 2 EAD lost thru this stupidity. We got the senator's office involved and they could not help us either since USCIS claimed they mailed it, USPS said they sent it back and USCIS said they didn't receive it. All the senator's office could suggest was to reapply. The 3rd EAD reached us somehow.

All, we have mailed the address change request in early 2005 to NY local office. Persanally went to Local office (through info pass) and gave the address change letter to them in April 2005 and in July 2005. According to the information they have (in their system) it still shows old address. we are really worried about it. could somebody please advice what else we can do?

Thanks

USCIS mail (I-140 approval) came to my old address, was sent back to USCIS, and then they re-mailed it to my ne address.
I did not have any other mail from USCIS, later I applied for I-485 already from my new address.
