Is Transit Visa Required for Paris?

Does a AP holder coming to US via Paris need to have a transit visa? This has been ON and OFF a requirement and the French Government mandates this per security situation in that country. I know for sure that in the past, they had imposed this requirement two times but I am not sure about current status.

Does anybody know?
Has anyone travelled recently via Paris?
 
You can check the French Consulate we site or check with your travel agent. The travel agent usually let you know if you need one.

My travel agent (makemytrip.com) told me AP holders with no other visa on the passport ( expired visa ) is required to have trasit visa if travelling through Paris, London and Frankfurt.

NO TRANSIT VISA IS REQUIRED IF TRAVELLING THRU AMSTERDAM. I CALLED THE DUTCH EMBASSY AND GOT CONFIRMED.

I think the agent gave wrong information

I travelled through Frankfurt while on AP, on January 11th.

The Airline Security officials in Frankfurt airport , just looked at my AP document and let me board the flight

I believe that AP not required for going through Paris as well. AirIndia's flight to Newark now operates via Paris

Paris and Frankfurt should be fine so far as I know,
