Just saw this on the web, wondering if it is true? If it is true, does it mean everyone who filed LC before April 30 and present in US before Dec.21,2000 are SAFE? Sounds too good to be true.

"To those who are in status and who are physically present in the U.S. on Dec. 21, 2000, if they are beneficiaries of immigration petitions or labor certification applications filed on or before April 30, 2001, they will be eligible to take advantage of 245(i) even if they fall out of status in the future."

This is true, but it depends on what you mean
by "safe." The law merely provides those who
previously could not adjust status in the US
a relief to become permanent residents without
leaving US, all other requirements still have
to be met, regardless of this 245(i).
