Is this possible to change the job before I-140 get approved?

Hi friends at immigrationportal:
My I-485 will be pending more than 180 days soon. But my I-140 has not got approved yet. My employer is not very stable financially, I am thinking to switch to a employer if I something bad happens. Is this possible to change the job before I-140 get approved?

You can get in trouble if the sponsoring employer cancels your 140. Also, if the employer goes out of business and CIS finds out (thru RFE or otherwise), the 140 might be rejected, which will automatically reject ur 485.

Do you have h1 or are working on EAD? If you absolutely have to change jobs before 140 is approved, make sure you continue on h1.

dont change before 140 is approved..if ur employer goes out of business transfer ur ..u can be in problem only if u get RFE on ur current employer and they are out of business....now if ur employer promises not to revoke 140 then u can jump..good luck.
