IS this Normal....need help

I-485 received date august 2002, 3 application (me ,my wife, and my daughter)
my wife is the primary applicant.
we did FP in Sep, 2004 (`me and my wife).
my wife and my daughter got the 485 approval in Dec. 2004 and they got the plastic card in Jan, 2005.
my application still pending
Called the 800#………. no answer (we did not see any reason for case separation call us again in after 6 weeks)
my lawyer said this normal with males from middle east they do double security check and no need to send inquiry.


so any idea what i should do, any one with me at same boat is this happened before???????????????

There are a few cases like yours out there ...

It is possible that your application might be pending "Name Check" clearance from the FBI. I know of a handful of cases where the primary appicant has been approved but the dependant is pending because of "Security Check" issues. You should try to call the TSC and find out what is going on.
