Is this for real

Is this just talk or for real ? By this backlog plan, they should be processing Jan 2003 by Sept. 2004. That's 12months move in 3 months. At the current rate of 15 days / month movement, I'm just incredulous. Maybe is a ploy to make people quiet

Of interest to many of our MurthyDotCom and MurthyBulletin readers, the I-140 petitions are expected to drop to an average of 8 months by the end of this fiscal year, down to 7 months by the end of the next fiscal year, and to 6 months by the end of FY2006. The plan for I-485s is a small decrease in processing times to 20 months by the end of FY2004, followed by an ambitious goal of 15 months in FY2005, and to 6 months by FY2006.

why do you assume that they have to clear the old cases when they reduce processing time...
the cases filed in 2006 will be processed in 6 months or less...the old cases can remain in dusty old files...

I do not think so

Harveydonald, That is not what they are saying in their plan. They are saying they will cut down the time for processing to 20 months by end of fiscal year 2004. That means old and new cases.
