Is there any available way to expedite the i-730 (Relative Petition) form processing?
Hello everyone,
I was granted asylum recently. My case was approved pretty fast, it took less than 2 months (from filing date to the final approval date).
I want to bring my wife in. She has been recently in the US on her B2 visa, and she's still have a valid multiple entry tourist visa, however we're scared she could get denied entry (she was denied F1 visa twice because of my asylee status).
So, we decided to file for the relative petition better than risking, however the waiting time can take so long!
My wife got accepted in Columbia University and desperately wants to start her semester this September (in 2 months). Can I send a letter to Nebraska Center when I file the i-730 explaining them her university urge, and asking them to expedite the process?
Is there any other way to accelerate the whole process, like paying fees, or having an appointment, etc.. Does filing with an attorney accelerate the process at all?
What do you think generally about this case! Any advice will be appeciated!
Thanks for your help in advance for your time and help!
