Is there a way to trace previously filed AR-11?

Does any one know if there is a way to trace previously filed AR-11, which has been mailed by regular post? (not a certified mail).

Thanks,

But how....?

Nope. You should always mail the AR-11 by certified mail.

But what about the older AR-11 that was mailed long long time ago?

There was one apt move...where I forgot to mail it by certified mail....- what if I need to get this info...?

I do not have an answer to your question, but none of my AR-11s made it into my A file. I think it stays at the receiving facility and they update the USCIS database. When I asked my IO about my AR-11s, he confirmed this. He also mentioned that when they pull a file/enter an A number, it only shows the current address. Apparently, they do not keep your old addresses stored in their IT system.

Cheers!

Legal,

Will I be asked to show proof that I did mail the AR-11 for that move where I don't have a return receipt?

I know that this is a small issue and probably not worthy to be worried about...but I am just curious...

Thanks,

I am having same questions. I did send every AR-11 with certified mail and I do not have copy of certified mail.

What should I do if USCIS ask me for the proof?? How can prove that I have filed AR-11 form??

Hi there!

During my interview, the only question pertaining to addresses was if I was still living at the address I listed as 'current address' on my N-400. Furthermore, I do not recall anybody on this forum ever having to proof all addresses listed on the N-400 through AR-11s.

The only cases where I recall people being asked to proof residence is if they had long, consecutive absences from the U.S. In those cases, folks brought rent payments, lease agreements etc. etc. to the interview.

Personally, I would not worry about being asked about AR-11s during the interview.

Cheers!
