Is there a validity period for PCC??

My 140 AD is 2/8/02 and I got my PCC from DC last week. I concerned whether there is a validity period for the PCC. I am expecting the interview within 6 months.

I got my PCC from houston indian consulate. There is no validity period on that.

i think US consulates require 6 months

Technically as long as you don\'t re-enter the country which issued you a PCC, it should be valid for ever! I think I read on immihelp.com or kamya.com that US consulates require no more than 6 months old PCCs.
