Bush passed a new law for temporary work permits mainly targetting people from Mexico. Have you guys been discussing this? If so can you post the URL for the thread? Also is there a link that describes this new law in detail?

There is no law. There is no bill introduced to the legislature. There is only a proposal. IMO, that proposal was floated to see what the reaction might be. It has not been good.

So you mean the terms he proposed does not apply yet. it has to approved by Congress first? So it's empty talk for now?
 
I thought the president has executive order to create laws. I remember a president passing a executive order on discrimination.
 
Is disobeying an executive order illegal? If so this sounds like a law but different in name and probably other factors.
 
Funny, many countries have REPUBLIC on their names but practice dictatorial-type rule. Guess REPUBLIC has lost its meaning..................
