Is there a link between FOIA request and 485 approval?

I am wondering if there is a link between I-485 approval and FOIA request.

I was approved on FEB 18th 2005 and my FOIA response documents are sent on FEB 21st 2005.

Is it just a coincedence or Is there a link? Anyine who has similar experience, please post it to the foram?

Mere coincidence and not a rule!!
 
My FOIA results were follwed by my approval with in a week. I had a feeling that my requesting FOIA had delayed my approval. I remember seeing a posting here saying when they called USCIS they got a response saying their file was with FOIA department

Your case seems to be approved ahead of the current processing dates. and It makes me believe that the approval is done by FOIA department or something like that.
 
Can you please explain me about this FOIA request ?

I can little confused now as I have done FOIPA request with FBI and the above FOIA request is the same you are talking or is it different one ?

We are taking different FOIA requests here.
You can send a FOIA request to USCIS also like you have sent one to FBI.
Please search in the foram or even this thread should give you enough info. on this one.
 
Thanks and I just did an expedite request last friday and I will wait for its response and if it is not favorable then I will try FIOA request.

Oh God! When will this end...........
