hi all,

I was wondering if there is a difference in processing of 485 based on your EB class - in other words are the Eb1 based 485s processed faster than EB2 or EB3 (non-retrogression)?

Yes and No. this is explained in the below 2 paragraphs..

Yes...there is a difference in the priority level of I-485 processing based on the availability of visa numbers based on the EB category. If you are EB1, then as of now, you can proceed with I-485 if you have I-140 approved....if you are EB2, you can proceed if you have approved labor certification and file concurrently. If, however, you are EB3, then you gotta check the visa dates (published by the State Department) to know whether you can file or not...

No...in the sense that there is no processing difference when it comes to how the I-485 is processed...everyone goes through the same standardized procedure of Adjustment of Status (AoS) involving medicals, fingerprinting, name checks etc...regardless of category.
