I think that the speed is reasonable. It's neither fast nor slow. We are not seeing 20 or 30 approvals per day. But VSC is known for surprises and let's hope that we are all in for positive surprises
than negative. I would love to see Jan'02 approvals coming from the end of this month. If VSC does it, then it will be a positive surprise.
I don't think processing for Jan 2002 cases has started.
BCIS is allowed to adjudicate cases up to 30 days beyond the JIT (currently 12/03/2001). So, technically you may see cases with RD up to Jan 02, 2002 being approved/RFE-ed/transferred.
Don't predit any thing about BCIS. There are some lucky souls like my friend who got approved from NSC whose RD is in April 2002. The official date they say is some time August 2001. It's a regular EB3 category just got married and he added his wifes application in Feb 2003 and both of them got approved.
