quick question, I have a translated photocopy of my birth certificate and that's the one i sent along the AOS paperwork .I received the interview letter for sep 6th so does that mean that i don't need to bring the original to the interview ??

ps: I don't have the original
thanks,

You should bring all the originals with you and to take it a step further make a copy again in case they lost anything in your file.Simply because it states in the IL letter they may keep originals if they need it .

Every interview is different they can definitely ask to see all the originals in my case they asked to see nothing at all . But that was just my experience not a given it happens to all.

In you case go with what you have since you may not have time to get an original and hope they don't ask . And if the IO wants to be difficult they may ask you to come back at a later date/2nd interview with it.

You're supposed to send a copy of the original and the translation together. Translation alone is not sufficient.

Get a new original, and a translation of the new original, before the interview. If you can't get it before the interview, still initiate the process to get them now, so they can be ready soon after the interview.
