Don't rely on online case status too much. Sometimes they never update itguys, is the online thing updated? I checked my application for ead and it still says initial review. its more than 2 months since i sent my application to chicago lockbox and still no ead.. still on initial review

As others have said, an EAD can take up to 3 months. If the online case status is updated you more then likely will only see action online when it gets approved.
Also, don't trust too much in the online case status system. The I-130 that I filled (with an I-485) to petition my wife's GC still says inital review and we submitted the documents in mid-December 2009 and both the I-130 and I-485 cases where approved in March 2010. I know it was offically approved because I received a approval letter in the mail.
