I would greatly appreciate it if someone with a similar case like mine could offer some advice.

My wife and I are currently awaiting our interview at the Cuidad Juarez Consulate. I just sent the DS-230 form Part 1 yesterday. My question is; how long are they taking to issue interviews. I read in some post from last year that they were taking any where from 7-9 months to issue an interview once they had recieved the packet from the National Visa Center. Yesterday I placed a call to an Immigration Organization and they said that the recemt cases, similar to mine, which they were handling for their clients are taki anywhere from 2-4 months after the consulate office recieves their packet.

Heres the problem, who do I believe, and the reason I ask is because I just sent a general email to the Ciudad Juarez Consulate and I got a confirmation email stating that they are taking nine months to give interview dates once they receive the packets.

Has anyone gone though the same process right before me, lets say a few months before I sent my last form, and gotten the interview right away???

Here is my case information;

1. USCIS received my application on 5-13-05
2. Petition is approved on 11-08-05
3. Sent affidavit of support on 1-6-06
4. Sent DS-230 form part 1 on 2-9-06

WHEN WILL I HAVE MY INTERVIEW?????????????? :(

ALL REPLIES WILL BE DEARLY APPRECIATED.

I was helping a friend with petitions for his parents. I think a spouse might process faster, but this is his experience. Their packets were sent to Cuidad Juarez July 2005. He was told their appointments would be in 6 months. He called back in Jan 2006 and was told they should be interviewed by the end of March. He phoned again in April and was told all the appointments were filled for May, but they should have appointments for the following month. Finally, last week he got notice that they have appointments for July 10th. That is a year from when they received the packets.
