Is the immigration still a card in this case?

I have a friend whose husband, after getting teh citizenship,
fled to his ex-home country to work there to avoid child support.
The warrant is soon to be issused for the husband\'s arrest if
he fail to appear in teh court to resolve this issue. The husband
used to be my friend too but no more after he behaved so nasty
toward his wife and children. I want to know if it is too late
to play the immigration card to get more pressure on the husband
to continue providing child support under such circimstances.

Do some checks

Pl check with ex-home country if there is any extradition treaty for absconding US offenders.

Find out to what extent and jurisdiction is covered by the child support decree given in US courts.

Lawyers in US can get in touch with US embassy in ex-home country and take it from there.

Child support is a serious matter and investigate further if the dead beat dad can be stripped of his citizenship.

Also check with ex-home country\'s embassy in the US as to what can be done.
