Just a real fast question ..
My 3 years anniversary through marriage is 06/06 .. my finger print is this monday 05/03 ... i have problem now and i need the interview to be after one month at least ..

So is the Finger printing same day as the interview.. or i will have interview date later on ??
and if i got interview date, and it was early for me, can i reschedule it ??.. and if i reschedule it.. Will it take much long time than one month delay ??

Thanks ..

Interview is much after FP. You can ask for re-scheduling of either FP or Interview. Read the respective letters for instructions on how to do it.

USCIS has first to process your FP and background check before it even bothers to schedule your interview and have your case transferred to the local DO. That process by itself takes its due time (weeks). Next, depending on your DO, it will do the interview on one date and then the actual oath at some later date.

Realize that USCIS has reasonable incentive to get your case processed efficiently and hence they will schedule your interview and oath considering your oath eligibility date. They don't really want your case file to make only partial progress due to bad timing. Most the time they get it right, but occasionally they miss the right beat. In this forum we mostly hear about the rare cases where they miss the streamlined scheduling (which is of course nerve-wrecking for those USC candidates that are affected by this).
