Is the affidavit of support required for AOS ?

I am on H1B doing AOS for DV 2005 ... I have a job and have got an employment verification letter along with letter from the bank showing sufficient funds .. Do I need to provide an Affidavit of support at the interview ? My spouse is on H4 ? Will the above documents for me work as proof enough for him or does he need an affidavit of support ?

I am on the same boat. Have DV AOS interview in few weeks and wondering whether my job letter would work or not. I am working as an H1b employee have wife and a child. If you find anything pls let me know. When and where is your interview?
