Maybe I am asking a silly question. My situation is, I am in my 6th year of H1b and thinking of change job. I have a LC petition filed one year ago with my current company, but until now I havn't got any receipt notice of that petition. It is quite possitively that current company won't withdraw that case after I quit. I am wondering if I couldn't get the receipt notice, is that still possible that my H1B can be extend based on that LC application?

I am not sure but I guess you should atleast have a reciept notice (I believe that is only proof that you applied for LC more than 1 year pending). I am in 6th year too with 4 months to go - changed my job and applied for 7th year (based on the old company's LC petition ) and got my H1b last month.
