Is Security check needed for I-140

Hi All,

Is security check/back ground check/name check (whatever check USCIS says) needed to adjudicate I-140 petition (EB-1/2/3)?

I would appreciate your feed back.
 
Despite what is said on other thread, my firm belief is that no security checks are done on i140.
The reason i think so is:
in contrast with i485, i140 has nothing to do with YOU (or me) personally. It is the application from the employer, that doesn't require security check.

If you search the forum, there are lot of people whose I140 is pending for security clearance. There is security check at I140 stage

Thank u for your feedback. If there is a security check at 140 stage how many times it will be done because I have already an approval (EB-2 NIW I-140) and another I-140 under EB-1EA is pending at NSC. NOw what?

Even more support to what i'm saying. If there were security checks for an i140 of a particular person, there's no reason one check will pass and the other will get stuck.
I noticed from different posters that EB3 i140 is fastest, then comes EB2 advanced degree then EB2 NIW and then EB1 (slowest). It's not unusual to wait for about a year for an approval of EB1 i140. Good luck
