Is previous employments or current employment ever an issue?

We are getting ready to apply for permanent residency for my husband. We are to write down his previous jobs he had and the current job he has. Should we be worried about his previous employments? In other words, do you know any case where immigration service checks the records from previous employers or fine the employers?

Are you a US citizen? If yes, and he is in the US applying for adjustment of status based on marriage to you, his previous illegal employment will be forgiven by USCIS (for the purpose of his green card process) if it is truthfully disclosed. But if he hides that employment and USCIS finds out, that could be big trouble.
