Hi Gurus,

My Labor is pending in ATL DOL for past one year and expecting to be cleared in another couple months (if everything goes well in ATL DOL). Meantime iam planning to revalidate my passport, since iam planning to travel out of country in near future.
If i send my passport for revalidation , i need to know should i require original passport for filing I 140/485. What are the implications of sending passport for revalidation and filing I 140/485 ? Please help.

Thanks

I remember when I file my 140/485, my attorney asked me to make copy of my passport including every single pages(covers). After you make that copy, you should be free to send your passport for revalidation. Gurus, please add your thoughts here.

Generally copies are sufficient. Mkae sure you have all the pages, and that they are very legible. Next check with your lawyer if s/he needs it for any other purpose. Finally check if revalidation is the only option for what you plan to do. Good luck.
