Hi All,

The following question might be very silly but would like to get some feedback from experienced gurus. Got the following email from CRIS on July 13, 2006.

"On July 13, 2006, we transferred your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status to our office in LINCOLN, NE for them to schedule and conduct your interview. Scheduling can take several months. Our office in LINCOLN, NE will notify you when they schedule your interview or take other action on your case."

from this email do you guys think my case has been transferred to local office or NSC???? I am confused. There is no response from Lincoln, NE that they received my physical 485 file.

Hi Madgu,
I think the interview takes place at your local office. So if they are going to conduct an interview-or planning-they should have transferred your file to the local office. Can you contact the local office?
Did your attorney say something?

Hi good_y,

Lincoln is not my local office. Newark, NJ is the nearest ASC (APPLICATION SUPPORT CENTER where i gave my FP too). If Lincoln, NE is the local office then what would have been the message if the file has been tranferred to NSC. I was under the impression that the file has gone to Nebraska Service Center to be more specific.
