Is name is the same as when we started green card application and naturalization is it necessary to submit any name change/marriage documentation when applying for a US passport?

ie. my wife's name changed twice once early in a youth and another time thru marriage to me. After both these changes we started her green card and naturalization applications and she is now a citizen.

Do we indicate anything about name change on the passport application form? It's totally irrelvant now isn't it? So we'd just leave that blank wouldn't we?

My Wife is Thai but I'm guessing name change is only relevant when the name on the passport application doesn't match the naturalization certificate or you've gotten married since etc....

If she has changed the name as part of N400 process, then they will require name change documents.

Hope this helps...

Nope her name hasn't changed since we were married. Period.

So I filed a complaint with the usps and they called me back and told me that I was correct in my expectation that name change is irrelevant in our circumstance and that they had educated their postal employees at the branch that under these circumstances they shouldn't have been so closed minded and understood why name change documentation wasn't necessary rather than simply asserting it was.
