i have a B1/B2 multiple entry visa for 10 years. Last Oct. 2003 i went to the US. At the prot of entry, the officer sent me to another room for 2nd inspection. i was admitted and given 2 months stay there with no extension. The officer wrote numbers (w/c is 57865717310) on my visa and passport. i have no idea what the numbers are for. Could it be that they are cancelling my visa?i'm worried bec. i read on their website that they can revoke or cancel visa without giving notice to the alien. please help me any similar incident? our family is planning a trip to the US April next year, so i need to know. how would i know if my visa is cancelled? should i apply for a new one?
thanks a lot!!

does not look like cancellation. Cancellation would say exactly that. They might have matched your name to some list and this number could be something tio do with your not being the person they were looking for.

I would contacxt some in the POE and then ask them about it.

uhmm, well I think that the series of numbers is the numbers that are of your I-94, the white card that they give to you with a stamp on it as a visitor and then you have to give it when you left? well that one. The "w/c" have no idea. Must be a code for them. The only thing that I don't know why they wrote it down in your passport and over your visa. You can call the Department of Homeland Security/Border patrol or ICE and check out with them what that means or check with your Consulate.
But I don't think that is a cancellation, when is cancel you even wouldn't be aloud to get in! :)
Good luck!
