Is L2 valid for other states..

Hi ,
My husband is coming to US on L1 visa and his work location is Atlanta based. I will be joining him on the dependent visa L2.I am a software engineer. I learnt that on L2 i can work once i get EAD after 90 days.

1. On L2 , should i work only in Atlanta or with in Georgia state ( where my husband will be based) or can i work in any other state also..?
In that case is H1B better..?


2. Can i cahnge my visa from L2 to H1-B ..?

Immigration is a Federal Law. So I think you can work in any state after getting an EAD.

Yes, you can change your status from L-2 to H-1B once you find an employer.

I think it is better to have an independent status.
