IS IT TRUE , OBTAIN GC after H1b company sponsorship?

Hi
The company i plan to work for has submitted all the paperwork for H1B visa, i read somewhere that there is a way for that company to sponsor you for a GC as well after obtaining h1b visa.

Can anyone shed some light on this ?

HOW LONG AFTER THE ISSUE OF THE H1B VISA?
WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?
HOW MUCH WOULD IT COST TO ME/MY EMPLOYER?

What does H1b got to do with your GC? Not sure if I understood you right.
But any company can sponser your GC irrespective of your H1b.
This is my 2 cents. Check other's suggestions ;)
 
Yes, Starter is right. It(H1) has got nothing to do with your GC.

But one thing you need to remember is 'Some employer may say that they start your GC process as soon as you join, but may not do so. May take several months'.

So, in case if your 6 years H1B period is going to be over in just over a year (i.e 12/13/14 etc months), then you need to ask your employer to file your labor before your sixth year starts so that you can get 7th year extension.

If you have plenty of years, then no problem for you.
