Any one who had traveled using AP please provide me your valueable information.

My wife came to US on H4(not valid any more) started working on H1 and did not get a chance to travel outside US to get H1 stamped on her passport.

Her AP is valid till feb 2004. She has to travel outside US prior to our 485 approval. She did not use her EAD as her H1 is valid till June 2003.

Please provide your suggestions what necessary documents that she has to take with her during her travel outside US for her to enter US with valid status.

I just travelled using AP and came back without any problem. I had lost my previous passport in USA, so I had a fresh passport without any stamp of any kind anywhere on its pages. I went back home, no problem. While coming back, in Hong kong they asked for my visa, I showed them my AP and the guy asked what is this and I explained it. He asked me for my alternate ID for which I showed my Driver License from US. He let me board the plane. Once I get to USA, I lined up as visitor but when my turn came, IIO on desk asked me to go where they were processing students. I went there, he asked me about my ssn, name of my mother and father and that's it. He made a copy of my AP and stamped my passport. I don't have any problem of any kind. Let me know if you want more info.

wish you best of luck...

My wife recently travelled and came back here using AP. She had a valid H4 but no visa stamp. That's why we decided she would come back using AP.

There was absolutely no problem at the POE. The officer returned both copies of AP (I thought they kept one copy for their records and returned the other to us) after stamping them as parolled until xx/xx/yyyy. He also wrote her A# on the I-94 and stapled it to the passport.

Hope this helps.
