Is it safe to Fedex my passport outside the country?

Hi all,

My wife and I had applied for Canadian PR some years back from Turkey (dont ask me why we choose Turkey)..Now we live and work in the US and last week we finally received the passport request. My question is; can we send our passports to Turkey for stamping via Fedex and expect them to be safely returned?

Please advise.

Would appreciate an answer...
 
I don't have experience with Turkey, but in general if you FedEx or send a package through registered mail and get insurance on it, it is pretty safe. You can also speak to your local or main city post office and explain to them you need to send a passport and what is the safest way...FedEx may be better than using the post office....
