Hello Everybody,

My I-485 LUD updated on 11/24 and I have received an email which says

"On November 22, 2004, we responded to your request for more information
concerning your case. If you have not received our response within 30
days from this date, please call customer service at 1-800-xxx-xxxx."

When I spoke with my lawyer's assistant, he says it is not an RFE. Is that true. Some reason I strongly believe it is an RFE. Because it is clearly saying they USCIS has requested for more information.

Also couple of weeks back I have requested for Address change by calling
1-800 number, you think it is regarding that.

Thanks,
VH

No, it clearly says that they responded to YOUR request for more information. This is not a typical RFE message. It is the kind of message you get in response to you opening an inquiry - like case status, etc. If you did not initiate an enquiry, it might just be a system glitch.

Hello Wik,

Thanks for clarifying it for me. I think I did Address change couple of weeks back by calling 1-800 number. That could be related to it.

Also I have sent the applicaion for FOIA to receive my I-140 approval papers. Do you think it is related to that. But why it would be updated for I-485.

Anyway since it is not an RFE, I am ok for now.

Thanks
VH
