I have a question:
Is it possible for a person with a pending asylum to be sponsored by what thay call employment based green card?

A friend of mine is about to be hired by a company which is willing to sponsor him, so I wonder if it is possible.

It is possible but asylum entitles to some waivers which others dont when you adjust. For instance, if you were illegal and win asylum, when you adjust that can be waived, with employment based GCs, that is not waived.
