Is it possible to live in Canada, work in US (US Citizen)

I am a US citizen, living & working in Buffalo NY. My boyfriend is a Canadian citizen and lives near Toronto. We are not ready to be married yet but I would like to move into Canada to be closer to him. I would like to keep my current job in the US and commute to Buffalo for work.

Is such an arrangement possible at all? Or do we have no choice but to wait until we get married or I look for work in Canada?

You can stay in Canada (Visitor status) for 6 months and during that time u can commute to your work in Buffalo. This could be possible.
