Is it possible to leave job after 140 approval?

Hi all,
Is it fine to leave your current job after I140 is approved, assuming you have an EAD?
If yes,
- will I need to inform USCIS about it?
- will I need to have another job before doing so?
- Instead of a job, can I start my own little shop?
- - If yes, does it have to be exactly in same software stream?

Will I personally get a notification from USCIS that 140 was approved? Or does it go directly, and only to the employer who then decides whether to keep me informed or not?

Well, looks like I posted this question in a wrong forum. I got no replies so far.
