Is it Possible to file EB2 with Btech in Mechanical

Hi,
Is it possible to file PERM in EB2, when i have over 7 years expereince as Software Engineer ,though i did my Btech in Mechanical Engineering.Will that be a problem.My job title is Senior Software Engineer.

Appreciate your help.
 
You can file as BS or equivalent in Engineering + 5 yrs of progressive experience in job offered or a related field in order to apply PERM as EB2.
