IS It POSSBILE to leave employer after 3-4 months of GC approval????????

Is it possible to leave employer after 3-4 months without having negative consequenceies on part of GC holder, this economy is too bad , with current employer not able to get me project and not paying either...
PLEASE post your replies and comments (people who have done this or who definitely knows someone who have done this

Take a unpaid vacation till you complete 180 days and chill out. Then U can shift employer.
 
Is a person out of status....

when I485 is pending, has EAD, AP but leaves sponsoring company but does not have similar job offer immediately. Could a person be in this status for 1 to 2 months? Thanks Experts - please help out.
