Hi Guys,

I am on H-1B status right now. Now I am ready to file I-485 and I also want to revalidate my H-1B visa. I am wondering after I filed I-485, am I still be able to use my revalidated H-1B visa to travel abroad.

Also I heard that after I-485 is filed, If I want to travel abroad using my revalidated H-1B, I also have to show the I-485 receipt to come back into US, is this true?

Any info is helpful, thank you very much..

It is always a good idea to revalidate your H1 instead of applying at a consular post. And yes, you can use your revalidated visa for travel instead of AP. And no, you are not "supposed" to show your I-485 receipt as a matter of law, but its a good idea to keep it with you when you travel as well as an employment letter.
